The hotly-anticipated Star Trek: Picard premiered last week, with multiple characters making their triumphant returns.

LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden and Marina Sirtis are all back, while Brent Spiner has also returned as Lore.

The series began with retired admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Sir Patrick Stewart) kicking into gear as he received a coded distress call from Beverly Crusher (McFadden).

Episode 1, titled The Next Generation, may have come and gone, but Star Trek: Picard season 3 episode 2, titled Disengage, will soon be upon us.

The official synopsis reads: “Aided by Seven of Nine and the crew of the U.S.S. Titan, Picard makes a shocking discovery that will alter his life forever – and puts him on a collision course with the most cunning enemy he’s ever encountered.”

It continues: “Meanwhile, Raffi races to track a catastrophic weapon – and collides with a familiar ally.”

The season trailer played heavily on the nostalgia angle, with the team sharing moments of levity in the face of yet another universe-ending threat.
